As a significant milestone in the evolution of Canada’s universal health care system, the Pharmacare Act offers the prospect of broader coverage of some existing medicines, which in turn should lead to improved health outcomes and greater health equity.

On June 19th, the RHC hosted a webinar on why harnessing the power of RWE for Canadians is so important - and how new partnerships, programs and investments are needed to maximize its potential. The panel of RWE experts from academia, industry, government and a patient group showcased the key hurdles hindering the uptake of RWE as well as solutions for a future state where RWE is effectively implemented in Canada.
