Investments in Resilience: Examples from Around the World
In the wake of the COVID-19, countries around the world have had to not only grapple with and recover from the devastating effects of the pandemic, but also become more resilient to be able to handle future crises. While some countries developed new programs and policies in reaction to the pandemic, others had initiatives in place that allowed them to respond to the crisis more swiftly.
The RHC is committed to the identification of innovative models and solutions from other jurisdictions, with the goal of using these examples as inspiration for boosting the resilience of health systems in Canada. That is why the RHC is highlighting examples of policy leadership from around the world; below are examples of investments in resilience as seen in Ireland, Iceland, Australia, Singapore, Finland, and France.
