Hosted by the Resilient Healthcare Coalition (RHC), this virtual event will spotlight the lifesciencescan campaign (www.lifesciencescan.ca) and its recent call for a National Life Sciences Strategy for Canada.

It will highlight some of the specific steps Canadian policymakers and their sector partners should immediately take to demonstrate collaborative leadership. It will also emphasize the importance of improving patient outcomes by accelerating and expanding access to health technologies, and by optimizing the collection, integration and analysis of health care data.

Opening remarks will be given by The Honourable Perrin Beatty, PC, OC, President and Chief Executive Officer of the 200,000-member Canadian Chamber of Commerce.

This event features a panelist roundtable. RHC Co-Chair Dr. Jason Field will be joined by signatories of the open letter to Prime Minister Justin Trudeau – Nicole DeKort (Medtech Canada), Wendy Hurlburt (Life Sciences BC) and Anie Perrault (BioQuebec) – who will unpack “Why a NATIONAL strategy, and why NOW?”.
