The concept of health system resilience is neither a new one, nor an exclusively Canadian one. In fact, COVID-19 has supercharged a global policy discussion centred around how best to make healthcare systems more shock-proof and less fragile. In light of this discussion – and against the backdrop of today’s federal budget – the RHC released its budget wish list.

Canadian health leaders joined a roundtable discussion and examined ways to reform the health system to increase resiliency and address fragilities exposed by the COVID pandemic.
