LSO Webinar Series: Is Canada losing its status as a priority medicine launch country? - insights from IQVIA

Over the past twenty years, Canada has been considered a priority jurisdiction for new medicine launches. However, ongoing changes to the pharmaceutical policy environment have affected Canada’s ability to maintain this status. To help inform and contribute to this discussion, Life Sciences Ontario commissioned IQVIA – a global leader in health data and analytics – to update research from 2020 to determine whether Canada has seen further changes to its global standing.

Join IQVIA and Life Sciences Ontario on Thursday, June 2nd, 1:00pm-1:45pm (English) and June 9th, 1:00pm-1:45pm (French) for a presentation and Q&A session to learn more about the results. Specifically, the presentation will investigate:

  • How Canada compare to other top international markets in terms of time to launch, the proportion of launches, and sequence in launch

  • How these trends have changed in recent years and what might that mean for the availability of new medicines in Canada
