On June 19, 2023, the RHC hosted a conversation on why harnessing the power of RWE for Canadians is so important - and how new partnerships, programs and investments are needed to unlock this opportunity.

Conversations around RWE as essential as health data from randomized control trials has been seen as the most important source of evidence to evaluate the value of innovative health technologies. Yet, patients, policymakers, payers and clinicians are increasingly relying on RWE to reduce the uncertainty that often accompanies new therapies, treatments and diagnostics.

The webinar was moderated by Ross Wallace, Principal, Santis Health and featured panelists including Dr. Mina Tadrous, Assistant Professor, Drug Safety Health Services Research at the University of Toronto; Carlene Todd, Vice President of Access, Roche Canada; Eva Villalba, Executive Director, Quebec Cancer Coalition; Dr. Tyler Williamson, Director for the Centre for Health Informatics & Co-Chair of Alberta RWE Consortium.
